Oliver                                                                     1

    Oliver were a cabaret band I joined in the early 1980's. Line up was Andy Chance (vocals), Jim Deagan (bass/vocals), Eamon (drums/vocals, Steve (keyboards/vocals),and myself on lead guitar. When I first joined they were through and through cabaret. Black shoes and pants, white tuxedo, frilled shirt and dickie bow. A cumber band would have completed the outfit, but thankfully things didn't get that far. Andy was, and still is, a great singer. His show stopping number was the then popular ballad," Love Is All", but he had an excellent rock voice as well. I'd originally backed Andy when he had got up as a guest on Cy Tucker bookings, so I think that's how I got offered the job with the band.
